House was established in 1877, but Mr. Manning’s connection with it was not known until 1881. The buildings occupied by Mr. Manning are one salesroom, 25x100 feet; one iron warehouse, 25x35 feet, one frame warehouse, 25x50 feet. Thursday, 21 June 1883, the first stone was dressed and the first shovel full of earth removed for the foundation of the new court house. Harris & Co. Bruckner’s Pharmacy M.R. Bruckner graduated in 1876 form St. Louis Pharmacy and has been in business ever since. Dr. W.T. Baird came here to practice in 1878. Dr. W.M. Powell has been here since the early part of 1882. T.V.
