Ashley of Stamford, died at his home in Albany, Sunday, 30 November 1936. Funeral services were held at the family home with Rev. W.M. Nix, pastor of the First Christian church officiating. Mr. Kenshalo was born in Albany. He was a pioneer grain thresher man, owner of one of the first gasoline tractors brought to Shackelford county, and was formerly superintendent of the Albany city water system. Survivors: widow; 6 daughters - Mrs. Annie Lou Straughn of Dallas, Mrs. Mary Crawford of Lubbock, Mrs. Roberts of Monahans, Mrs. D.L. Ashley of Stamford, Misses Ruby and Bennie Kenshalo of Albany. Mrs. Roberts was formerly Miss Allee Kenshalo and lived in Stamford for several years. Stamford people who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Ashley, John M. Rice, Mrs. Alfred Lieb, Mrs. A.M. Ottinger, Mrs. W.H. Parnell, Mrs. Pearson, Mrs. C.R. Carson, Miss Kyra Carson, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Ashley, Miss Edna Posey, Miss Marguerite Townsend.
