JOHN MASON FAMILY

John Mason was born about 1811 in Wayne County, Kentucky. He was the 
son of Samuel Mason and Nancy Moore, married April 14, 1806 in Wayne 
County, Kentucky. By 1820, Samuel and Nancy were in Lawrence, 
Indiana with a household of ten.

John was married about 1839 to Caroline M. ? He was living in Texas 
as early as 1840, possibly in Shelby County. He later settled in
Smith County, Texas, seventeen miles south east of Tyler on East Mud Creek.

Here he farmed until his death about 1886.

John and Caroline had the following children: Louise Jane, Andrew J.,
Richard M., Nancy, Samuel, Sarah Angie, Mary and Rosanna A. 

Allied families are: Williams, Looney, Dean, Temples, Barner, Brown, 
and Draper(?).
