Johnson WILLIAM RILEY GLENN William Riley Glenn was born in Marshall county, Tenn., May 10th, 1838; removed to Smith county, Texas, 1851. Enlisted in Company K, 10th Texas dismounted cavalry, serving with Ector's famous brigade in the army of Tenneessee. Participated in the battle of Merfresboro, with Gen. Bragg in the Kentucky campaign, wounded at Chickamauga and made a prisoner. He remained a prisoner at Camp Chase until after the war. Returned home in June 1865. His home is at Tyler, Teiras, a first class man and a good citizen. Married Miss Martha W. Lowery of Van Zandt county.
