Johnson ISAAC W. ORR. Isaac Walton Orr, born in Muscogoo county, Ga., Dec., 14 1825. Enlisted in company E. 31st Georgia infantry, electei captain of his company. Was in Gordon's brigade, Jackson' corps, Army of Northern Virginia. After one years servic his health was impaired and h resigned. Returning home he assisted in raising an artillery company and was elected Lieutenant and served with Gen. Joe Johnston in the Georgia campaign. Captain Orr was thoroughly Southern in his convictions and showed the faith that was in him by giving his service to his country in the war between the States. His parents were of Revolutionary stock from the grand old commonwealth of North Carolina. Married Miss Eliza Southall, a native of Georgia, December 14, 1847, over sixty years ago. Prof. A. W. Orr, the superentendent of the public schools of Smith county, is a son His family is prominent in East Texas and are people ol standing and influence. Captain Orr is a grand old Southern gentleman, and he and his good wife enjoy life, at this writing, for one of their age. They reside at Arp, Texas.
