Johnson JOHN C. REYNOLDS. John Calhoun Reynolds, born 9th of March, 1841, in Chambers County, Ala. Removed to Texas in 1852 and settled in Smith County. Entered the Confedefate army in July 1861 in Co. F, 6th Ala., regiment. Participated in the battles of Seven Pines, seven days fight around Richmond. Boonsboro, Md., Antetam, Md. Was then selected as a sharp-shooter in the campaign of Gen. Lee's army. He was wounded and captured at Gettysburg and was in prison at Fort Delaware for five months then transfered to Point Lookout and remained there for fifteen months-paroled in February 1865. On Oct. 18th, 1866 he was married to Miss Susie Saxon, of the same state of his birth and enlistment. Postoffice Tyler, Texas.
