Lemons Deed Book 34, pp. 395-396 [p. 395] The State of Texas County of Smith Know all men by these presents, that I T. G. Hardigree of the aforesaid state and county for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to be paid Oct 15, 1886, for which amount F. H. Bell of the same state and county has executed his promissory note due and payable as aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged, have this day bargained, granted, sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain grant sell and convey unto the said F. H. Bell his heirs and assigns the following described real estate towit..the my undivided one sixth interest in and to 357 acres of land situated in Smith County Texas about six miles N. E. of Tyler, a part of the C. C. Alexander[,] W. W. Sheppard, Shirly Gage + W. H. White Surveys, being the same lands conveyed by Daniel Smyre + wife to L. Pryor + also the same conveyed by Buck Pryor to me on the 23rd of Dec 1885, the said deed from the said Smyer to L Pryor being on record on pages 53 + 54 in Book T record of deeds of Smith county Texas and for a more full description of said land reference is here made to said record and they are [made] parts and parcels hereof. To have and to hold said above described tract and premises together with all the rights, privileges, appurtenances and improvements to the same belonging or appertaining thereto him the said F. H. Bell his heirs and assigns forever; and I the said T. G. Hardigree do hereby bind myself my heirs and legal representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to said premises unto the said F. H. Bell his heirs or assigns against the lawful claims of any and all persons claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof[.] In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my signature.
