HEARVY.—Susan R. Hearvy, wife of N. R. Hearvy, departed this life 
Nov. 26, 1884, near Tyler, Smith county, Texas, in her thirtieth 
year. She was born in Macon county, Alabama, March 30, 1854. She 
professed religion in her sixteenth year and joined the M. E. 
Church, South, in Alabama; moved to Texas a few years ago; joined 
the church at Center, and lived a devoted Christian to the day of 
her death. I visited her several times during her last illness. She 
always seemed happy and cheerful, and to the last she rejoiced in 
hope of immortality and eternal life. May God bless her husband and 
little children.
