The deceased joined the M. E. Church, South, at Overton, Rusk county, Texas, at the age of thirteen years; lived a faithful Christian, and died in peace. About three months before she died, she dreamed that her mother came as a bright messenger from the spirit world, and took her under her wings to heaven. O, how soon she was to go and meet that mother in that "beautiful land!" She leaves a disconsolate husband to tread the dreary walks of life alone, and a motherless little boy who will never know the guiding hand of a loving mother. But bless God! she waits for her husband and child in that land so fair and bright, and beckons them to join her in the happy bowers 'neath the tree of life. Lacy Boone.
