Mrs. Mamie Beaird, wife of our worthy and esteemed district clerk, Pat
H. Beaird, who has lingered on the bed of affliction for many weeks, was
relieved of her suffering today at 12:15 o'clock.  Her guardian angel 
carried her home.

Mrs. Beaird was the daughter of the late Mr. J. S. Dorough of Garden
Valley.  She grew to womanhood at that place.  For several years she
taught in the public schools in Tyler.  There are many young people of 
this town who will remember the good lessons taught them by this kind 
and lovable lady.  She was a kind and devoted mother and wife, and all 
who knew her loved her.

The citizens in Tyler and Smith county deeply sympathize with the husband
and little son and daughter in the irreparable loss of this good wife and
loving mother.
