All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************************** Source Unknown - Date taken from Freeland Research Dies at 88 On Tuesday morning, the last day of February, Mrs. Mary Ann Bradford, (nee Melton) died of infirmities of age. She was born August, 1828, in Newton county, Ga. Moved to this county in 1846 with her parents and was married to R. L. Bradford in 1847. They settled on the place just north of the Judge C. G. White place two miles East of Omen and lived there continuously until the day of her death of sixty-nine years. After the death of her husband fifty years ago, she lived with her oldest son, W. G. Bradford, who provided and cared for her. He now lives on the place he was born on, and is sixty-eight years old. She has one other living child, Mrs. Agnes Keel, of Dallas, Texas. These are the only two of the ten children that survive her. She had 47 grandchildfren, ?5 or 70 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. She joined the Ebenezer Baptist church in 1871 and lived faithful to her church til death. - Signal
