Deceased was one of the oldest and longest time residents of this section. Years and years ago, when many of the middle aged men of this section were but little boys, Mr. Melton was active and conspicuous in the affairs of the community. Of late years, of course his advanced age had kept him from coming a great deal into contact with his fellowmen. He was always of robust health and loved outdoor life. He was known to almost all of our people. Mr. Melton is survived by several children, grand children and great grand children. He was a good man and a Master Mason. His remains will be interred at Salem Cemetery Wednesday aftgernoon under auspices of the Masons
