Words fail us when we go to write of such a noble Christian life as Mrs. Price's was. She was loved and esteemed by all that knew her. She leaves her husband and five children to mourn for her; they being Mesdames A.J. Thedford, Ben Pagues, and Mrs. Walter Price of Tyler; Mrs. T.A. Smith and Claude Price of New Harmony, besides other relatives. To the bereaved we can only say God's will be done not ours, and look beyond this veil of tears and know and realize that wife and mother are at rest and some sweet day you will be a reunited family where no parting tears are shed. She realized her life on earth must soon end and requested her loved ones not to weep for her. Mrs. Price was buried Sunday, March 10th, in the Dean cemetery, Rev. Wayne Colthrop (sic) conducting the funeral services. (Written out to the side of this obituary --- "My Mama's Death - Lexie, March 9, 1912") (note: this is Mrs. Sarah Alice Price wife of Hugh Madison Price. It is interesting to note that Reverand Wayne Coltharp was the pastor of Dean Baptist Church at this time and was the son of Abel Bruce Coltharp and the brother of Sophronia Elizabeth Coltharp Barron who was the mother of Fred Mansfield Barron, the husband of Emma Lorene Thedford Barron. (Sarah Alice Price was her grandmother).
