Person information submitting unknown. Death of Mrs. S. A. Thedford. Mrs. Thedford of East Ferguson street, whose death was mentioned Tuesday was an old resident of this county. She moved to the county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Youngblood about 1852 and settled on the Seven Leagues. She was married to Mr. E Pierson Thedford in 1856. To them were born ten children, five of whom are still living W. E. Thedford of Mt. Sylvan, J. P. Thedford and Mrs. J. W. Rainey of Van Zandt county, also J. Y. and Miss Ida with whom the deceased lived at her death. Funeral took place Wednesday at the old family graveyard at Seven Leagues in the Noonday settlement, conducted by Pastor Yates, in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends from this, Van Zandt and Henderson counties. Mrs. Thedford was born in Edgefield district, South Carolina, September 17, 1835. She was therefore 81 years of age. There survives her two brothers E. H. and B. B. Youngblood of Ben Wheeler and Edom, also one sister, Mrs. J. Y. Green of Chandler. Mrs. Thedford was converted and joined the Baptist Church in 1853 and was an active member of that church all her life and raised her family in accordance with that faith. Her life was an example of kindness, love and good needs to all who knew her, her friends were many, and while she was aged, yet her death is mourned by all the loved ones and friends.
