Shelton Dies At Noonday" (No date or name of Publication) Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 P.M. in the Noonday Baptist Church for Mrs. Mollie E. Shelton, 73, who died suddenly at her Noonday home, 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Elbert G. Wright, pastor of the Noonday Baptist Church, and Dr. Porter M. Bailes, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Tyler, will be in charge of services. Interment will be in the Noonday Cemetery, under the direction of Burks-Walker-Daniel Funeral Home. Mrs. Shelton was born in Smith County and had spent practically all of her life in the Noonday community. She died in the house to which she moved in her early married life. Survivors include her husband, E.S. Shelton; four sons, Isaac, Douglas and Bryant Shelton of Noonday and Parker Shelton of Tyler; four daughters, Mrs. Ada Bigham and Mrs. Avis Little, Noonday, Mrs. Dewey Gibson, Beaumont, and Mrs. Lillian Thedford, Tyler; 19 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Duncan Butler, Clayt Pierce, Clarence Oller, Russell Shelton, Tom Murphy and J.E. Dunlap.
