Dear father thou art gone never to return to us, but there is a hope we'll meet you up yonder where pain nor sorrow nor death will enter to man the peace and happiness of the faithful. It's sad to know his once happy home is broken up as well as our hearts. That we'll never visit him more on earth where we always felt so welcome, where the children always used to meet grandpa and enjoyed so many games with him. Be we know he is happy in heaven and kill the chastening rod and try so hard to say, thy will be done. May God confort his gentle companion and guide her last steps toward that home where he has gone.
