Raymond Reed McDaniel
b. 6 May 1827 in Warren Co., GA
d. 12 Nov 1907 in Crystal Falls, Stephens Co., TX
buried: Crystals Falls Cemetery
 
Raymond served in the Civil War in Company "I" 43rd Alabama Infantry. He
enlisted in the "Army of the South" as a Private, April 29, 1862 at Fayette,
Alabama.

He received a Civil War Pension in 1901. In fact, he was attacked and robbed on
his way home one night after cashing his pension check. He died of his injuries
soon after that on November 7, 1907 at Crystal Falls, Texas and is buried in
Crystal Falls Cemetery.
