The Breckenridge American 15 June 1977
Roy B. Allen, 79, died Saturday in Stamford, Texas after a short illness.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Aspermont.

Rev. James Wood officiated.

Born 24 September 1897, he married Verda Shelley on 23 November 1952
at Spur. He had lived in Aspermont since 1943 and was a retired oil field
pumper.

Survivors: wife; son - Boyd of California, two daughters - Mrs. Jack Railsback
of Iowa Park and Mrs. T.E. Harbin of Slydesale, LA; four stepdaughters;
brother - Odell of Breckenridge; four sisters - Mary Wadkins of Graham,
Jean Murray of Graham, Hattie Allen of Tyler, Hattie Candler of Roswell, NM;
eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren;
13 step-greatgrandchildren.
