Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Methodist Church of Happy with the Rev. Mark Metzger, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Stratford, officiating. Burial was in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Hancock was born in Holland, Texas. She moved to the Texas Panhandle from Holland in 1922. She married C. R. "Hap" Hancock in 1925 at Canyon. They lived in the Arney community for 37 years and moved to Happy in 1973. Mr. Hancock died in 1976. Mrs. Hancock moved to Stratford in 1994. She was a member of the Arney Community Club and First United Methodist Church of Happy. Survivors include a son, Clyde Hancock of Happy; six daughters, Charlotte Morris of Littlefield, Billye Waldron and Carrollee Watters, both of Stratford, Bettie Everitt and Deloris Hancock, both of Amarillo, and Sue Lilley of Purcell, Oklahoma; a brother, James Murray Markham of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
