Bates (mrbates@swbell.net) I had requested, in the past, that someone verify my grandparents' spelling at the Mansfield Cemetery. Margaret Bates (I believe) has them listed online with their family spelled McElvanEy. I had written Ms. Bates and pointed out that all the stones in that section are spelled "McElvany". There is no E before the Y. Could someone please correct that spelling? Someone at the Tarrant Co. Historical foundation did write me back that they had verified the spelling and it is McElvany. I noticed that the pages have never been corrected and just wanted to make you aware of the error. This can also be verified by my cousin, Barbara Chambers. She is a member of the MHS. (Mansfield Historical Society, Mansfield, Tarrant Co TX)
