Adams j.adams3237@att.net July 19, 2010, 2:36 am Fort Worth Star-Telegram Newspaper, 11/28/2007 Sammie Lene Inman Adams Bellis, 93, a loving mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 25, 2007. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2010 at Greenwood Funeral Home. Sammie was born Saturday, April 4, 1914, in Corsicana, Texas, and was the fifth of seven children born to Sam Houston Inman and Ruth A. Inman. Shortly after graduating from High School in Corsicana, she married Charles Ray (Doc) Adams on December 12, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas. She and Charles sooned moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Sammie was the first ticket office manager at the opening of the Casa Manana Theatre, circa 1957. She worked parttime as a lead ticket agent for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo and Ice Capades from 1945 through 1967. She then retired in 1989 from her fulltime position at Farm and Home Savings and Loan Association after 27 plus years of service as a PBX operator. Since her retirement, she had resided in her home of 48 years in the Arlington Heights section of Fort Worth. This unique woman prayed for and was an unlimited source of encouragement and support for her children and grandchildren. She was a selfless, tireless lover of God and lover of people. Her childlike faith led her to the Lord at an early age and served to fuel her eternal optimism, hopefulness and enthusiasm. "Blessed in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints" (Psalm 116:15). Sammie was preceded in death by a daughter, Sammie Rae Adams; two husbands, Charles Ray Adams and Joe Junior Bellis; a granddaughter, Leslie Caprice Dearing; and by her two brothers and three of her sisters. Survivors include: Daughter, Nancy Diane Adams Dearing Hutchens and Husband Darace J. Hutchens; Son, John Quincy Adams and Wife Jennifer Lynn Turbyfill Adams; Grandchildren, Lellan Curt Dearing, Christin Danielle Adams, and Olivia Elizabeth Adams; Step-Grandchildren, Danya Powell, Mark Hutchens and Angela Nevling; Six great-grand children; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Nina Hardin; several nieces and nephews; and long-time caregiver, Felicia Coston. These and others are among the many who loved Sammie deeply and will greatly miss her presence.
