All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror July 1986 Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Blissard, 86, of Mansfield, who died in the local nursing home, at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 1986, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 14, in the Blessing-McInnis Chapel, Reverend Sam Rowlett of Central Baptist Church, Mansfield officiated. Interment was in Mansfield Cemetery. Pallbearers: Buzz Perry, Ira Gibson, H. E. Baxter, T. G. Ackerman, Hubert Beard and Bobby Looney. Mrs. Blissard was born March 15, 1900, in Mansfield, the daughter of George Washington and Orlena Laura Ellen Guest Casstevens. She married Elbert (Doc) Blissard, April 3, 1921, in Mansfield. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, Eastern Star Chapter #876, and operated dry cleaners along with her husband and late son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert (Doc) Blissard, Sept. 22, 1953, infant son, Roy Eugene Blissard, Aug. 26, 1925, and Harry D. Blissard, Aug. 1, 1968. Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Jane Lancaster of Mansfield; daughter-in-law, Imogene Lambert of Arlington; three grandchildren, Randy Wayne Blissard of Duncanville; Lezlie B. Lewis of Arlington; and Liz Yates of San Antonio; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Alta Lawing of Fort Worth.
