Bowen died Sunday, April 4, 2004, after a short illness.   Memorial Mass:  10 a.m., Wednesday at St. Patrick Cathedral.  Burial:  Greenwood Memorial Park. Isabel W. Bowen, the youngest of three daughters, was born to Isabel M. and Emmett E. Weaver on Oct. 24, 1924.  She was proud of her family, which included maternal great-great-grandparents who traveled from St. Louis to Fort Worth by covered wagon in 1881. Like her mother and sisters, she was educated by the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur at Our Lady of Victory Academy.  After graduation, she worked first for Purina Mills and then for the clerk of Tarrant County.  She married Robert L. Bowen in 1947, and the early years of her marriage were spent in Breckenridge before returning to Fort Worth in 1954. She was a member of the Jewel Charity Ball, Fort Worth Garden Club, and Junior League.  Her favorite League assignments were the marionette theater for children and her work with the popular cookbook of the League.  Other memberships include Ridotto, Rondelay and Dinner Dance Club. She was largely a self-taught painter and, like so many of her generation, a talented cook.  She had only three people in her immediate family, but she took great pleasure in cooking for large numbers.  Enthusiastic about travel, she had a special fondness for San Miguel de Allende and for Santa Fe, in no small part because her accommodations there allowed her to entertain her family and friends.  She loved Ireland, the original home of her family, and cherished the time she spent in Portugal.  She also enjoyed frequent trips to Washington during the years her son lived there. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Mary Helen Weaver Lewis. Survivors:  Husband of 56 years, Robert L. Bowen; son, Robert L. Bowen, Jr. of Fort Worth; nieces, Melinda Lewis Hassen of Greenwich and Marilyn Weaver Lewis of Hartford; nephew, John L. Lewis, Jr. and wife, Dana of Fort Worth.  She is also survived by her sister, Jane W. Mazurek of Helena, and five sons and two daughters by her sister.
