Mrs. Alice Brooking, wife of Will Brooking, shot and killed her husband
yesterday. She shot him twice, first in the neck and then in the side. The
trouble was due to jealousy.

She ran from him and he pursued her with a pair of scissors.

Mrs. Brooking’s father, Rev. Wells, is a highly respected citizen of this place
and has lived here for several years.
