All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror May 1996 Funeral services for Dayne Jeana Gau Cabaniss, 66, a public school teacher and resident of Mansfield, were held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 13, 1996, in the Blessing Colonial Chapel, Mansfield, with interment following Tuesday morning, May 14, in La Grange Cemetery, La Grange, Texas. Grady King, minister of the South McArthur Church of Christ, Irving, officiated. Mrs. Cabaniss died at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, May 12, 1996, in the James L. West Presbyterian Care Center of Fort Worth, following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan 8, 1930, in Smithville, Texas, the daughter of Alfred William and Mary Baron Gau, and married Rex Clayton Cabaniss, June 1, 1951, in La Grange. Her husband preceded her in death on March 3, 1990. Survivors include daughter Jeri Shryock and husband Jim of Mansfield; daughter, Joni Cabaniss of Dallas; son Rex and wife Leigh Cabaniss of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and six grandchildren, Trey, Kara and Steven Shryock of Mansfield, and Taylor, Peyton and Sophie Cabaniss of Baton Rouge.
