All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror February 14, 1987 Funeral services for Major Albert Bradford Calhoun, Jr., 38, of Fort Worth and stationed with the U.S. Army in Japan, who was killed in an airplane crash, Saturday, Feb. 7, 1987, at Atsugi Naval Air Facility of Japan, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, 1987, in the Blessing Chapel with Reverend Tom Wilson and Reverend Sam Rowlett officiating. Military graveside services followed in Mansfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Pete Jay, Nick Jay, Steven Jay, Bailey Kemp, Kent Freeman, Gene Pate, Bubba Kemp and Bart Kemp. Major Calhoun was born Aug 1, 1948 in Fort Worth, the son of Albert Bradford Calhoun, Sr. and Minnie Earlene Kemp. He was a 1966 graduate of Vigor High, Chickasaw, Alabama, and a 1971 graduate of Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, where he attended on a football scholarship. He was a member of the McKinney Bible Church of Fort Worth. Survivors include five uncles; Bud Kemp of Kirbyville; Steve Kemp of Fort Worth; Jack Kemp of Justin; J. W. Calhoun of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and Gaines Edward Calhoun of Pascagosla, Mississippi; and three aunts, Joe Dameron Roye and Nickie Jay, both of Fort Worth; and Merle Coulson of Bendale, Mississippi.
