Charles was born in Mansfield on March 24, 1928, the son of Charlie Floyd and Rue Finie Watson Cantrell. He lived in Mansfield until he was grown. He was a veteran of World War II, a graduate of Mansfield High, and was owner and operator of Cantrell Printing Company. Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Sagamore Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. Fred Swank officiating. Interment was in Mansfield Cemetery. Survivors included his wife, Mary E. Cavender Cantrell; one son, Gary Lynn Cantrell; and three daughters, Carla Kay, Rose Mary and Sandra Lei Cantrell, all of Fort Worth; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Floyd Cantrell of Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs. J. Benton (Thelma Floy) Mason of Dallas and Mrs. Warren Alsie (Ellen Rose) Lambert of Fort Worth; and two brothers, James C. Cantrell and Elbert Weldon Cantrell, both of Fort Worth.
