Reverend Sam Rowlett of Central Baptist Church, Mansfield officiated. Burial was in Mansfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stephen Cantrell, Gary Cantrell, J. Benton Mason, Bret Denison, David Walker and Glenn Cary. Mr. Cantrell died at 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 1991, in the Osteopathic Medical Center of Fort Worth. He was born Dec. 28, 1899, in Heath, the son of Joseph Lee and Mary Frances (Mollie) Evans Cantrell. He married Rue Finie Watson on Oct. 19, 1921 in Arlington, Texas. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 1984. He was also preceded in death by son, Charles Theo Cantrell on March 20, 1969. Mr. Cantrell was a retired farmer and a member of the Rehoboth Baptist Church of Arlington. Survivors: Sons, Elbert Weldon Cantrell of Gustine and James C. Cantrell of Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. Heroal (Thelma Floy) Middlebrooks of Fairfield and Mrs. Warren Alsie (Ellen Rose) Cantrell Lambert of Fort Worth; sister, Mrs. Marvin Woodford (Lela) Brown of Glen Rose; 18 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
