All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror March 1997 Funeral services for Laura Viola Cantrell, 69, of Rendon, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 1997, at Bible Baptist Church of Rendon, Reverend Everett Abrams officiated. Interment followed in Rendon Cemetery under the direction of Blessing Funeral Home of Mansfield. Pallbearers were Jerry C. Turner, Jr., Junior Wallace, Pat Warren, Doug Chainey, Robert Lucero, and Billy Trussell. Mrs. Cantrell died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at 5:26 p.m., at Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Fort Worth. She was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Johnson County, Texas, the daughter of William Carl and Alta Jewel London Massey. She married Eugene Collins Cantrell, Jr. in Benbrook on Oct. 21, 1944. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cantrell was preceded in death by a son, Randy Ray Cantrell. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Collins Cantrell, Jr. of Rendon; sons, Eugene Collins Cantrell II of Everman and William T. Cantrell of Rendon; Larry Lynn Cantrell of Albuquerque, N.M.; Tony Clint Cantrell of Allen, Oklahoma; and Kenneth Dwane Cantrell of Rendon; daughter, Connie Lou Thompson of Rendon; sisters, Dorothy Nell Curry of Everman, Billie Jo Allen of Springtown; and Doris Ruth Milliron of Everman; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
