All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror February 1995 Funeral services for Walter Edwin Carolus, 56, of Mansfield, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 13, 1995 at First United Methodist Church of Mansfield. Burial was in Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale under the direction of Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Reverend Larry Van Zile of First United Methodist Church officiated. Pallbearers were F. S. (Reb) Folbre, Bryan Cullen, Doug Miller, Steve Salmons, E. B. (Stumpy) Thompson, and H. E. Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Bell, Jim Hlivko, William (Doc) Hospers, and Bruce Pickering. Mr. Carolus died Friday, Feb. 10, 1995, in HCA/Plaza Medical Center, Fort Worth. He was born April 16, 1938, in Sterling, Whiteside, Illinois. Mr. Carolus attended Valprizo Institute and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois Institute of Technology. He was employed for 36 years by Motorola as an engineering manager. He was a member of the Texas Region Sports Car Club of America and the Vintage Flying Museum. Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine Grimes Carolus of Mansfield; daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Carolus of Mansfield; and mother, Edith Carolus of Sterling, Illinois.
