Funeral services for Hester Louise Carrell, 52, of 300
Live Oak Street, Mansfield were held at 2 p.m.,
Monday, Aug. 24, in the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints, Mansfield Ward.  Bishop Dave
Kershisnik officiated.  Interment was in Mansfield
Cemetery under the direction of Blessing Funeral Home,
Mansfield. 

Mrs. Carrell died in the local hospital, Thursday,
Aug. 20, 1987, after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 10, 1935, in Wausau, Florida, the
daughter of Henry and Mary Elizabeth Payne Griffin. 
She married William Verdell Carrell, Feb. 24, 1973 in
Forest Hill.

She was a licensed vocational nurse and a member of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,
Mansfield Ward.

Survivors include her husband, William Verdell Carrell
of Mansfield; four sons, Joel C. Bailey Carrell of
Fort Worth; William P., Thomas Lee, and David A.
Bailey, all of Florida; four daughters:  Linda Marie
Baldwin of Mansfield, Tamara Hunt of Houston, Lora
Jean Barrow of Cleburne, and Sheila Diane Adler of
Fort Worth; mother, Mary Elizabeth Griffin of
Mansfield, and brother, Cecil Griffin of Panama City,
Florida.
