All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror December 1994 Funeral services for Lucille Irene Carter, 75, of Alvarado, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 27, in the Blessing Colonial Chapel, Mansfield. Interment followed in Mansfield Cemetery, Reverend Wilbur Stanley, pastor of the First Assembly of God, Joshua, officiated. Pallbearers were Loyd Thomas, Dale Arthur, Tommy Arthur, Ronnie Stotts, Richard Stotts, and Elton Teague. Mrs. Carter died at 10:45 p.m., Friday, Dec. 23, 1994, at her home in Alvarado, following a lengthy illness. She was born Feb. 24, 1919, in Greenville, Texas, the daughter of William Lee and Ada Isabell Wooten Van Sickle. Mrs. Carter was a retired seamstress and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Joshua. Survivors include two brothers, Archie Van Sickle of Mansfield and James Van Sickle of Greenville and three sisters, Viola Teague of Mansfield, Elizabeth Kruse of Wylie, and Stella Thomas of Alvarado.
