All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror April 1994 Funeral services for Edison Burnett Cartwright, 88, of Fort Worth, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 25, in the Blessing Colonial Chapel with interment following in Mansfield Cemetery. Dr. Charles Sanders, pastor of the University Christian Church of Fort Worth officiated. Mr. Cartwright died at 1:23 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 1994, in the Denton Regional Hospital, Denton, Texas. He was born Feb. 17, 1906, in Van Alstyne, Texas, the son of Flavius J. and Nora Pearl Simpson Cartwright. He married Wilma Faye Dale, who preceded him in death, Sept. 18, 1988. He was a retired owner of a dry cleaning business. He moved to Fort Worth from Borger in 1988. Mr. Cartwright was a member of the First Christian Church of Borger and the Borger Isom Masonic Lodge #1242, A.M. & F. M. Survivors include one daughter, Saundra MacLeod of Roanoke; one brother, Otis Cartwright of Big Lake; one sister, Alda Arthur of Comanche; one granddaughter, Sharon Hase of Fort Worth, and one great-granddaughter, Elissa Ann Hase of Fort Worth.
