Service was held at the Methodist Church of Mansfield on Sunday, Mar 21 at 2 p.m., Reverends Wayne Dunson and J. N. Hunt officiated. Pallbearers: E. C. Bradford, W. A. Halbert, Raymond Nash, and Charlie Smith, all of Mansfield; James Edmondson of Waxahachie, and J. B. Williams of Fort Worth. George was born March 19, 1863 in Johnson County, Texas, the son of John Percy (of Tennessee) and Sarah Catherine Ellis (of Illinois) Casstevens. He married Orlena Ellen Guest on Feb 1 1883 in Johnson County, Texas. He was preceded in death by daughter Viola Bell Casstevens, Oct. 10, 1886, and by son, George Cecil Casstevens, Aug. 24, 1927. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. 138. Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Orleana Ellen Casstevens; seven daughters, Estella Nadine Blissard of Mansfield; Lula Ellen Dearmore of Fort Worth; Effie M. Watson of Mansfield; Bertha Lea Hunt of Mansfield; Ruby Bertha Tipps of Mansfield; Erma Lou Nash of Mansfield; Alta Lorena Lawing of Fort Worth; four sons; Joseph Franklin Casstevens of Los Angeles, Calif.; Alvy Burton Casstevens of Mansfield; William Nealy Casstevens of California; and John Estelle Casstevens of Fort Worth; brother, Charles, Albert, Samuel Jerry, Finis Ewing, and John L. Casstevens; sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Ball (Eli) and Faria Lee Ball (Joshua Amos).
