All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror February 1994 Graveside services for Walter Frank Cerney, 96, of Mansfield, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1994, in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Mr. Cerney died Monday, Feb. 21, 1994, in the Vencor Hospital in Fort Worth. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, April 14, 1897, and had lived in Mansfield for 10 years. Mr. Cerney, an electrician by trade, served in the U. S. Navy during World War I, and had been a member of the American Legion for 50 years. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Lois Beck Cerney of Arlington, and three grandchildren, Elaine M. Cerney of Arlington, Eric Alan Cerney of Irving, and John Lowell Cerney of Garland. Mr. Cerney was preceded in death by his wife, Marilla D. Cerney (of Michigan), Nov. 3, 1992, and son, Thomas Patrick Cerney (of Michigan), July 21, 1986, both are buried at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas.
