All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror March 1997 Funeral services for Robert Leonard Chambers, 86, of Cranfills Gap, were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 23, in the Blessing Colonial Chapel of Mansfield, with interment following in St. Paul Cemetery, Mansfield. Reverend Walter Sanders, pastor of the Rehoboth Baptist Church of Arlington, officiated. Pallbearers were Melvin Uselton, Calvin Uselton, J. L. Uselton, C. L. Glass, James Glass, Johnny Glass, and Robert Harold Chambers. Mr. Chambers died at 3:05 p.m., Friday, March 21, in the Meridian Manor Nursing Center, Meridian, Texas. He was born March 28, 1910, in Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas, the son of James Mack and Serina Tidwell Chambers, and married Mary Faye Uselton, May 11, 1927, in Fort Worth. Mr. Chambers was a retired farmer, and a member of the Mansfield Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Faye Chambers of Cranfills Gap; daughter, Eva Sue Camp of Cranfills Gap; two sons, Jimmie Chambers and Robert Harold Chambers, both of Mansfield; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. One son, Billy Clyde Chambers, preceded him in death, Sept. 18, 1986.
