Interment was in Mansfield Cemetery, under the direction of Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Pallbearers were Stack Uselton, Edward Watts, Franklin Reeves, Mark Williams, Stan West and Harry Starks. Mr. Chasteen died at 4:45 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 7, 1996, in the Pecan Manor Medical Center of Kennedale. He was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Mansfield, the son of John and Buelah Victoria Farmer Chasteen. He married Edith Alice Jones, Nov. 26, 1937, in Mansfield. Mr. Chasteen was a machinist, a member of the Central Baptist Church of Mansfield, and a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Survivors include his wife, Edith Chasteen of Mansfield; one daughter, Virginia Doris Saunders Williams of Arlington; two brothers, Earl and Bobby Gene Chasteen, both of Hico; one sister, Oleta Oliver of Grand Prairie; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
