All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror October 1997 Funeral services for Ruby Alma Vincent, 92, of Fort Worth, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the Blessing Colonial Chapel with interment in Mansfield Cemetery. Rev. Lee Ingram, pastor of the Northwest Baptist Church of Fort Worth officiated. Pallbearers were Vincent Boyce Chasteen, Melvin Eugene DeBevois, Michael Shane Gilliam, Jeffory Michael Snapp, Willie Vincent, Samuel Daniel Vincent, Robert Oce Chasteen, Pat Gilliam, and Lonnie Wayne Flanagan. Mrs. Chasteen died at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, in the Columbia Medical Plaza, Fort Worth. She was born Aug. 23, 1905, in Whitewright, Texas, the daughter of James Doyle and Patsy Anderson Vincent. She married Ocie Ola Chasteen, Aug. 25, 1923, in Mansfield. Her husband preceded her in death, Sept. 27, 1955. Survivors include three sons, Otis Elmer Vincent of Fort Worth; James W. Vincent of Tucson, Arizona; and Robert Melvin Vincent of Kennedale; one daughter, Betty Dean (Freddie Wayne) Flanagan; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy Ruth Gilliam, Aug. 10, 1989; son-in-law, Thomas Sidney Gilliam, May 27, 1994; and grandson, Thomas Michael Gilliam.
