All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***********************************************   Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Used by permission from Fort Worth Star-Telegram) December 6, 1995     FORT WORTH – Samuel Alexander Denny, Sr., 58, a partner in the law firm of Law, Snakard & Gambill, died Sunday in Fort Worth. Memorial service:  2:30 p.m. today at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church.  Burial:  Oakwood Cemetery, Fort Worth. Samuel A. Denny was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Fort Worth, the son of Judge Fisher Tenny and Alice Jennings Denny. Mr. Denny practiced law in Fort Worth since 1964.  He was a senior partner with the law firm of Law, Snakard & Gambill.  He was a former director of the State Bar of Texas and Texas Association of Bank Counsel; a former council member of the Oil, Gas & Mineral Law section of the State Bar; and a life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He was also a member of the Fort Worth Tarrant County Bar Association and was past president of the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association. He was an elder and chairman of the board of trustees of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, endowment chairman of the Fort Worth Nature Center, past president of the Fort Worth and Tarrant County Camp Fire Girls Inc. and the Oakwood Cemetery Association, and a former board member of Child Advocates of Tarrant County Inc. He graduated from Arlington Heights High, Rice University and University of Texas School of Law.  He was a member of the Steeplechase Club and River Crest Country Club. Pallbearers:  John L. Survivors:  Wife, Gretchen Becker Denny of Fort Worth; son, Samuel Alexander Denny, Jr. of Tsuruga, Japan; daughter, Andrea Denny of Austin; brother, Kleber Denny of Houston; sister, Ann Kinscherff of Corrales, New Mexico.
