J. Foster, 76, of Mansfield (Britton community), were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 29, in the Blessing Colonial Chapel, with interment following in Mansfield Cemetery.  Rev. Lawrence Hammond, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church officiated. Pallbearers were Ned Foster, Morris D. Franks, Jeff Parker, Gary Foster, Jerry Foster, Terry Rutland and Dusty Hodges. Mr. Foster died at 2:17 a.m., Thursday, May 27, 1999, in the Harris Methodist Hospital, Fort Worth. He was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Britton, the son of John Timothy and Ollie Lavada Adams Foster, Sr.  He married Gloria Marie McGehee, Jan. 1, 1943, in Rockwall, Texas. Mr. Foster was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, and a retired farmer. Survivors:  Wife of 56 years, Marie Foster of Mansfield; son, James Clark Foster and wife, Janice of Mansfield; daughter, Marie Louise and husband James Paul Grizzle of Mansfield; brother, John Timothy Foster, Jr. of Hico; sisters, Frances Athleen (Leat) Franks of Mansfield, and Agnes (Aggie) Franks of Waskom; three grandchildren, Gloria Turner, Jacey Foster and Marla Beltz; and one great grandson, Drake Clark Turner.
