    Rev. Hayden Edwards will conduct funeral services at 10 am Wednesday in Ray Crowder Chapel for Thad S. Hoote, 84, father of 
City Detective Tom Hoote.
    The elder Hoote, who died Monday at his residence at 1809 Ave. J., will be buried in Rose Hill.
    Hoote, a native of Gatesville, operated a farm near Stamford until his retirement several years ago. He had lived in Fort Worth six 
years.
   Also, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ethyl Culp and Mrs. Ann Jones of Fort Worth; three other sons, Wesley and Tom Hoote of 
Fort Worth, and Robert Hoote of Stamford; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren
