Tura Leroy King, age 69, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 at his home in 
Arlington, Texas. Tura was born October 31, 1940 in Taft, California, to 
Everett and Irene King. He retired from the New Orleans District Office of the 
U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2003 after 34 years of service. Survivors 
include: his wife, Rebecca King; sons: Christopher King and wife, Kimberly of 
Vivian, South Dakota and Shawn King and wife, Misty of Slidell, Louisiana; 
daughter, JoAnna Maples of Mount Vernon, Texas; son, Elias King of Boise, 
Idaho; grandchildren: Dusty Nicole Maples, Rainey and Will King; brothers: 
Everett King and wife, Jayne and Nels King and wife, Bonnie; sister, Sherrell 
Fox and husband, Bill; and mother-in-law, Margret J. Harrington. Family 
Services: private. If desired, memorials may be made to: American Cancer 
Society, or Slidell Little Theatre.
