Joe Allen Searcy Sr.

FORT WORTH, Texas —Joe Allen Searcy Sr., 63, was called home to be with his 
Heavenly Father Saturday, November 29, 2003.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial in 
Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made 
to Vitas Hospice at 2501 Parkview Drive, Suite 600, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
Joe Allen was born January 24, 1940, in Ft. Worth. He served 23 years as a 
submarine electrician in the U.S. Navy. He served in both the Vietnam and the 
Korean war. Joe Allen was a Baptist. 

Mr. Searcy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Alvin and Thelma Louise 
Searcy; sisters, Margarette Searcy and Carol Norman; and brother, Gene Searcy. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Vitas Hospice 
of Fort Worth for their compassion and care and a special thank you to Angela 
Prindle, RN. 

Survivors: Companion, Dottie Acker of Ft. Worth; sons, Joe Searcy Jr., and wife 
Jill of Leesburg, Ga., Anthony Searcy and wife, Ronica of Flowery Branch, Ga., 
Jesse Searcy and wife, Tracey of Sylvester, Ga., and Timothy Searcy and wife, 
Tina of Salem, Ind.; daughters, Melinda Henry and husband, Stephen of Albany, 
Ga., 
Brandi Andrews and husband, Michael of Grapevine, and Rhonda Elliott of Mt. 
Pleasant; and 10 grandchildren.
