Dorothy Marie Smith, 84, a retired VA hospital staff
employee, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec.
2, 2006.

Funeral was Wednesday in Blessing Funeral Home Chapel,
Mansfield.  Burial: Mansfield Cemetery.

Dorothy was born Nov. 26, 1922, in Britton to the late
Janie Leone Griffith and Benjamin Franklin Howard. 
Dorothy committed her life to faithfully serving the
Lord and will be sorely missed by her family and
friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lester
Gordon Smith, and sister, Bonnie Merritt.

Survivors: Daughter, Patricia Elaine and husband,
George G. Yust of Southlake; sister, Wilma Roper of
Grand Prairie; brothers, Oscar L. Howard of Keller,
Billy Frank Howard of Mansfield, and Bobby Mack Howard
of Midlothian; and grandchildren, Jennifer Dyke of
Houston and Christopher Yust of Southlake.
