Taylor, 59, of Magnolia, Ark., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Magnolia City Hospital after a 10-month battle with cancer. Kathryn was born July 16, 1947, in Fort Worth. She moved to Arkansas after getting married and resided there with her husband of 40 years. She was a seamstress for Shanhouse and a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved the Lord and faithfully served Him at Antioch West Baptist Church. She served in numerous ways at the church, but her favorite was working with the children. Gran, as she was affectionately called by her five grandchildren, will be dearly missed. Her love for her family was without measure. Kathryn touched countless lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her favorite scripture passage was Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Charles (Jack) Morales. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Taylor of Magnolia, Ark.; her mother, Elgie Morales of Mansfield; four daughters, Becky Bayles and husband, Joell; Karen Couch and husband, Ronnie, all of Magnolia, Ark.; Sally Wallace and husband, Jared of Rogers, Ark.; Jill Geran and husband, Kurt of Sherwood, Ark.; three brothers, Charles Edward Morales, James Morales, and Jackie Morales; one sister, Mary Lou Taylor, all of Texas; five grandchildren, Nicholas Couch, Hudson Wallace, Jenny Couch, Joella Bayles, and Taylor Kathryn Bayles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Antioch West Baptist Church with Brother Chris Lucy and Brother Jim Sayers officiating. Burial was at Sharman Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Pallbearers were Ronald Taylor, Wesley Taylor, Robert Taylor, Mike Borden and Chad Poindexter.
