All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Mansfield News Mirror May 12, 1983 Funeral services for longtime area resident, Harry Matthew Tracy, 87, of Mansfield were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 7 in the First Baptist Church of Mansfield, with interment following in Mansfield Cemetery. Rev. James Moore of the church officiated. Blessing-McInnis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He died Thursday, May 5, 1983, in a Fort Worth hospital. Pallbearers were Mike Shaw, James Tipps, Wesley Seeton, C. L. Glass, Truett Casstevens, Glen Harmon, and Danny Ray. Tracy was born April 28, 1896, in Mason, Texas, the son of James and Nellie Alice Johnston Tracy. He married Edna Brougher, Dec. 27, 1947, in Waxahachie. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Mansfield Masonic Lodge No. 331, and a veteran of World War I. Tracy was a farmer in the Venus area from 1928 to 1955 when he moved to a farm near Mansfield. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Tracy of Mansfield; three daughters, Mrs. Jo Aline Cain of Grandview; Mrs. Elwin Christine Crow of Fort Worth; and Mrs. Billie Juanita James of Corpus Christi; one son, Paul Newton Tracy of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter.
