H.F. Darden Dies at Mt. Pleasant
H.F. Darden, long time resident of Taylor county died at his home at
Mt. Pleasant, near Merkel Friday.

Funeral held at the Barrow-Sheppard home in Merkel Saturday with a 
Baptist minister of Mt. Pleasant officiating.

Known as Uncle Hal, Mr. Darden is survived by three nephews: R.S. Darden, Jr.,
Lee Darden, and F.T. Hogan, all of Merkel; five nieces - Ethel and Mae White
of Abilene, Mrs. Maudie Russell of Amarillo, Mrs. Irvin Street, Mrs. John
Shaw and Mrs. Daisy Celsor all of O'Donnell.

Burial will be in the Drummond cemetery at Caps.
