Owens, 68, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. O.R. Conoway, 917 Walnut, yesterday, following an illness of five weeks. The body was taken overland to Fort Worth last night where services probably will be held this afternoon. Burial will be in a Fort Worth cemetery at the side of his wife who died in 1940. Elliott funeral home will be in charge. Mr. Owens had been an Abilene resident for the past two months having moved here from Colorado City. In addition to Mrs. Conoway, survivors include Mrs. Nell Donihoo, 917 Walnut; Mrs. Lee Williamson of Olden; Mrs. Lindy MIller of Westbrook; and Mrs. Jerald Boyle of Houston; all daughters and four sons: E.T. Owens of Fort Worth, A.T. Owens of Houston, T.J. Owen of Colorado City; Sgt. Jack Owens of Nashville, Tenn.; 1 sister - Mrs. Frank Preston of Vernon; 3 brothers: Foster Owens of Rock Springs, Abb Owens of Houston and Auty Owens of Colorado City.
