White, prominent church woman who died early Monday, has been set for Tuesday at the University Baptist Church with the Rev. W.O. Vaught, Jr., pastor and Rev. C.A. Powell, former pastor now of Rule, officiating. Mrs. White, whose only brother is Dr. Rupert N. Richardson, acting president of Hardin-Simmons University, was born Mabel Richardson at Caddo, 4 January 1887. She was a member of the University church since coming to Abilene and is past president of the Sweetwater association of WMU and was president of District 17 WMU at the time of her death. Survivors: her husband; brother - Dr. Richardson; 2 sisters - Mrs. Emma Dickerson of Mineral Wells, Mrs. Vera Matthews of Fort Worth; 9 nephews and nieces: Technician Rupert N. Richardson, Jr., now in North Africa; W.J. Matthews of Winters; Mrs. Vurtis Hamilton of Lubbock; Mrs. Mary Brock of Jennings, LA; Mrs. M.K. Davis of Williamsonville, NY; Mrs. Mary Shives of Fort Worth; Mrs. Nan Anderson of Dallas; Mrs. Alma Lehman of Weslaco; O.E. Dickerson of Mineral Wells. Body will be at the Kiker Knight mortuary until Tuesday when it will be moved to the family residence, 2142 Beech. Burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers: Owen Hubbard, D.W. Arnette, Warren Hooker, J.E. Burnam, W.C. Ribble, W.J. McMinn.
