Bowles, 58, lifetime Potosi resident, died Tuesday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health the past year. Born 26 June 1902 at Potosi, he married Ethel NeSmith in 1925 at Ballinger. They lived on Rt. 2, Abilene. He was a farmer and was employed at Thornton's from 1951-1959. Funeral arrangements with Elliott's Funeral Home. Surviving: his wife; 2 daughters - Mrs. John Long of Wylie, Mrs. Charlie Rathmell of Big Spring; 9 sisters - Mrs. Lydia Coffman of Rt. 2, Abilene, Mrs. Mary Lindley of Abilene, Mrs. Lillie Blackburn of Rt. 5, Abilene, Mrs. Frances Fathergafl, Mrs. Martha Richardson, Mrs. Iona Noonan and Mrs. Sally Underwood, all of CA, Mrs. Sadie Beth Hancock of Amarillo; 4 brothers - Alfred of Abilene, Tony of Phoenix, AZ, Debs of CA, a twin brother - Tom of Amarillo, 4 grandchildren.
